The Normann Copenhagen chief Danish designer Simon Legaldo's chair "Tube Lounge Chair" draws in a memphis design style that originated in Italy in the 1970s. This style is distinguished by bold shapes and geometric lines, nurturing playfulness. Combining these playful links and minimalism of the Danish heritage, Tube presents a bold design with contrasting shapes and materials, but a masterfully performed in a simplified and timeless time.
The basis of the design is the fascinating interaction of soft and solid elements. The chair frame consists of two sanded steel pipes, which are elegantly bending and reproducing the organic curvature of a richly padded seat. The extended backrest gives you the opportunity to sit and rest your head, while visually creates a comfortable impression of a padded seat for complete relaxation. In this architectural frame, comfort is preferred without aesthetics. Inside, the plywood frame, wrapped in foam and cotton wool layers, promises longevity and comfort, while upholstery gives you many personal expression options.
